Keratan dari the star dan telah di paparkan di dalam web persatuan Radio amatur MARTS Malaysia.Kini daerah SIK sudah di kenali ke serata dunia.
Walkie-talkies for Sik Rela RELA (People’s Voluntary Corps) members in Sik, Kedah, will soon be using walkie-talkies to communicate with the police under the Rela-Rakan COP pilot project in the district. So far, more than 1,000 Rela members have undergone training in the handling of the equipment.
"The walkie-talkie is useful as a large area in Sik is outside the hand-phone network coverage," said Sik MP Datuk Dr Wan Azmi Wan Ariffin recently.
Dr Wan Azmi said he initialted the project due to the high number of cable theft and drug abuse cases in the district.
Rela, he said, was chosen because of its "command and control system," which was akin to te armed forces.
He said the project had been given the green light by the government as a pilot project.
Dr Wan Azmi said the project was aimed at making Rela members the "eyes and ears" of the police.
Project director Fakhruddin Md Zain said 30 units of walkie-talkies and 30 ham radios would be handed over to Rela commanding and platoon chiefs in the early stages of the pilot project.
"These walkie-talkies have a communication network radius of 40 km and could be used in remote parts Sik where there s a high possibility of cable thefts."
"The walkie-talkies will be linked to the project base at Dr Wan Azmi's office and the Sik police headquarters as well as the Sik Fire and Rescue Department," he added.
